Mozambique Beach Tour

Day 1: Inhambane - Barra Beach

After meeting your tour guide in Maputo, we set out for the Inhambane District we travel the northern road along the coast. While it is a long day on the road there is much to see as we pass the many villages and plantations of coconuts, cashews, and sugar cane. Our journey will bring us to the palm-lined beaches for two days of relaxation and ocean fun. Tonight we are welcomed with a traditional Mozambique dinner.

​Day 2: Inhambane

With two days of beach time, we have an opportunity to relax and enjoy the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, the more adventurous can sign up for a variety of optional activities. The beaches at Barra are safe for swimming and the reefs on this stretch of coast offer excellent opportunities for diving or snorkeling.

Day 3: Inhambane

Today we make the short drive to Tofo to spend the day enjoying yet another of Mozambique’s iconic beaches. With safe swimming, a charming market, and a number of popular beach bars, Tofo is perfect for a day’s outing. A second day not only ensures that you have the opportunity to make the most of the activities on offer; but it also allows us some flexibility to adapt to the weather.

Day 4: Airport Transfer

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Airport on the last day of the tour!

More About Barra Beach:

Barra is an uncrowded beach with good conditions for rest with children, family, and friends. Pensioners, and adults, who prefer a calm rest, rest on the coastline. The coastline and bottom are covered with clean snow-white sand. The entry into the ocean is sloping, and the water off the coast is warmed up perfectly. It is necessary to go a certain distance to the depth. There are no strong winds, waves are insignificant.

It is more difficult to get to Barra, than to other beaches: from one side it borders on clean high dunes and stormy waters of the ocean; another part of the cape is covered by mangrove rainforests and palm groves. Many animals and birds live here. Monkeys often steal things from tourists - it is necessary to be careful.
