Days 2 – 3 Days: Maputo City Tour - 3 hrs: Accommodation and All Meals.

A melting pot of Latin and African flavors, Maputo is a unique and historical city. Meet Maputo beloved by its locals on a half-day tour including stops at the Fortress, Central Market, Museum of Natural History, Railway Station, and FEIMA curio market. Guests will also pass by the Maputo City Hall, Cathedral, Botanical Gardens, and Iron House. The tour includes museum and fortress entry fees. Morning and afternoon half-day tours are available. The optional extension includes lunch (the tour lasts up to five hours). English and Portuguese-speaking guides. The museum is closed on Mondays. Please note there is a 20% supplement if this tour falls over a weekend or public holiday. No day trips are run on 25 December or 1 January.

Days 4 –8 Days: Transfers – Accommodation and All Meals.

Whether you’re traveling to Vilankulo for a well-deserved break or on business, there are numerous activities to keep you occupied when you have some downtime. We’ve collated our favorite activities around Vilankulo! All reservations can be made at reception. Here at Vilanculos Beach Lodge, we have an exciting in-house activity center, manned from 7 am to 7 pm.

Guests can choose between standup paddle boards, kayaks, volleyball, beach soccer, racquetball, swing ball, petanque, ping-pong, and assisted drumming on Sunday evenings. Please note as most of these activities are outsourced, prices are subject to change without prior notice!

CANOE MORNING:

HORSE SAFARIS STANDARD BEACH & BUSH RIDE:

Payable p/p (+- 1.5 hours) Our standard one-and-a-half hour ride is the most popular and convenient for holidaymakers. The ride incorporates all the wonderful ecosystems in the archipelago; wide open beaches, incredible cliff-top views, pristine dune bush, and mangrove shoreline. We will give you insight into the incredible history of Chibuene and make the ride as enjoyable as possible. Riding is best done at low tide and suitable for non-riders OCEAN WALK: Payable p/p (+-45 mins & tide dependent) An incredible experience and something you will never forget.

To start you lead your horse into the sea, there is a sense of excitement as they thrash the water, then lay down to wallow and roll. Once the horses have settled, you will mount bareback and wade out to the deeper water following your guide along the coastline past colorful dhows and sandy beaches towards distant Mangrove trees.
