Known for the natural beauty of its beaches, the Quirimbas National Park, in the Province of Cabo Delgado, was established in 2002, with a land and maritime extension of about 7.500 km2. Of the 27 islands that compose the Quirimbas Archipelago, 11 are part of the Park, with crystal clear waters that hide massive extensions of coral reefs and several marine species, such as dolphins, turtles, dugongs, and rays.

The dense mangrove and dry miombo forests and an important series of inselbergs in the Taratibu zone, the west region of the Park, make its landscape unforgettable! The wildlife in the continental part of the Park is rich and diverse, featuring four of the Big Five: elephant, lion, leopard, and buffalo, as well as a great diversity of birds, including migratory species.

With over 30 exotic islands to explore, you'll never want your holiday to end! The Quirimbas are a group of 32 beautiful and exotic islands off the northern coast of Mozambique, stretching 70 km from the huge port of Pemba right up to the little village of Palma near the Tanzanian border. And this is just above the water, never mind the 100 km of unspoilt coral reefs, high coral wall drop-offs, and tropical fish to be seen!

Although some of these islands host international hotels and resorts, most remain natural and untouched by foreign investors, ultimately offering visitors a true island experience where a rich culture and a fascinating history coexist to tell its story.

In 2002, the Quirimbas Archipelago National Park was introduced to protect and provide a sanctuary for the marine life and the beautiful tropical haven in which they live.

Hotels, resorts, and other accommodation lodgings allow us the opportunity to explore the Quirimbas Islands and the magnificent underwater coral forests that extend kilometres along the northern coastline. Several unspoilt coral islands feature huge vertical drop-offs - some reaching depths of up to 400 meters!
